The Secret Language of Dogs: Unlocking the Canine Mind for a Happier Pet. Victoria Stilwell

The author's name speaks for itself.  This is the most get-down-there and work with your dog book that has ever crossed our desk.  There are plenty of photographs, explanations, signs, signals and in-depth information as to the canine psyche.

Critical topics include aggression, aging, pain, strange behavior, howling and just, dog speak, in general.  You no longer have to wonder why dog's guard their possessions as though these things were savings bonds or stacks of steak.  You will know.  Well, that, and a whole lot more.

Thorough too!

Perhaps one reason we bond so closely with our dogs is that we see so many of our behaviors and mannerisms mirrored in theirs.
