Am I Depressed Or Am I Bipolar?

This is a good book and if you have been plagued with depression for any extended period of time, you can see why this book is necessary.

Am I Depressed Or Am I Bipolar? What kind of blows us away is that the axis of the book was stated with one sentence;

The diagnosis of bipolar disorder is made once an episode of mania has been identified.

At this point, mania is further identified.

The reason that this statement is so critical is that diagnosing, treating and medication bipolar's can be a real challenge.  Meanwhile, clients commit suicide, they (hopefully) seek out psychotherapy and seek solace wherever they can find it.

However, there is a truth to this statement as well and the remainder of this book will explain what it's like, the challenges therein and a whole lot more.

Another point of interest is that the author begins this piece with a personal introduction to psychiatry, whereupon the concept of treating all mental and emotional illnesses without medicine was explored for a period of almost ten years.  This was certainly worth investigating.  But, 9-10 years?
