Gold Medal Wine Club

The Gold Medal Wine Club is sloganed as, "The best wine club on the planet.  Period."  And, truly the different clubs have won awards as well as many accolades.

Received:
  • (1) Consilience 2012 Syrah (Silver Medal)
  • (1) Consilience 2013 Viognier (Silver Medal)

2012 Syrah

Typical for a Syrah or Shiraz, this is a full-bodied, dry wine with a peppery finish.  As can also be typical for a Syrah, it's also too bitter for our tastes.  However, it is also made with Grenache (12%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (4%).

2013 Viognier

The Viognier is an entirely different grape.  Literally.  These are white and pleasantly odoriferous.  Very nice.  Full-bodied.

Unless you have the luxury of time to languidly attend wine tastings, there's only one other way to get the job done.  You have to buy different brands and try them.  Why not have them sent in the mail?

If this is the route for you, the Gold Medal Wine Club is a way to go.  We sampled the lowest costing plan and are pleased to have done so.  We didn't buy it in a store, then, drop it in the parking lot.  We didn't have to inquire as to the which-ways of the Merlot.  No.  It came to us.

Should you decide to foot this sendero (Spanish for path) yourself, here are the prices;
