One can easily ascertain, just from the introduction and the first chapter that Huffington knows of that which she speaks, acknowledges the spiritual aspects of life and sleep and the relationship therein, that we can reclaim a significant part of ourselves to living better and that she is an authority on the subject.
What follows is a thorough examination of sleeplessness and its effects on a sometimes, overworked and overwrought society. There are plenty of statistics. However, there aren't so many numbers that they become minutia or otherwise bog you down.
It's just the right mix of homework, experience and examples. You'll have to do some work if you wish to reap the benefits of actual sleep. It's worth it.
