Honeywell Console Humidifier

The Honeywell Console Humidifier (HEV680) was well-packaged. It's a Honeywell.  Hence, the unit is easy to use and the accompanying literature is so well done that we had no questions, after having perused it.  Excellent job of technical writing.

Received:

  • (1) Honeywell Console Humidifier
  • (1) Wicking Filter
  • (1) Pamphlet

There are steps that you must take upon receipt.  The first of which is to remove the Wicking Filter, soak it in water, shake off the extra water (do not squeeze), return it to the console and carefully place it into the base.

After that, you'll need to fill up the tanks, which are located on either side of the unit.  You may carry them to the sink, or fill them with cool water while they are in position. Ensure that the floating rod is snapped into place, upon replacing the tanks.   Close the Tank Cover to keep particulates out and repeat for the second Water Tank.

Plug the humidifier into the wall, after eyeing the plug-in for imperfections, noticing that one prong is bigger than the other.  Do not shove the wrong size into the outlet.  Do this with dry hands and the unit off.

After that, set your settings on top of the console and you're ready to go!
