This August marks Virginia Craft Beer Month. Hence, we introduce Starr Hill Brewery's Whiter Shade of Pale: White I.P.A. It is a part of the permanent collection and a 2014 Gold Award winner from the American-Belgo-Style Awards in the Ale category. Sweet.
Starr Hill's Whiter Shade of Pale: White I.P.A. is pale gold in hue and came to be in 2013. It is available in the, "All Access Series," and very malty. This award-winning beverage is the perfect combination of the Belgian Wit and the IPA.
This White India Pale Ale has a nose which is a vibrant, spicy hops. It's perfect for Summer and has a clean finish. It pairs well with spicy (Indian, etc.), butternut squash, sage & pancetta, risotto, gorgonzola, herbal cheese spreads, salty, grassy and fried foods. For dessert, try it with peach cobbler or caramel apple tart.
