The package comes with the solar charger (8.5 inches X 5.5), which has a kickstand on it, the HUB 1 Amp charger, the micro-USB to USG cable and a quick start guide. One note about the guide. It's a single page, single-sided. Agghhhh!
All of this is easy to use and the instructions are clear. We expected a nightmare (as some electronic items can be). We were pleasantly surprised.
One thing that Solio suggests (and it seems wise) is not to use another device with the charger, as the charger will be facing the sun if it is going to be completely effective. It will however, charge even in shaded circumstances. The problem is that most small devices will cook and have a lessened efficacy if it is submitted to too much heat for too long.
Overall, this is an excellent package and an outstanding value. How much is it worth to be able to charge your phone, or other devices without the use of electricity? If you lived in Texas and had occasional outings, you wouldn't have to think about it.
I’d put my money on the sun and solar energy. What a source of power! I hope we don’t have to wait until oil and coal run out before we tackle that.
